Politico -- States may see federal Medicaid funding decline up to 39 percent under repeal

The Senate's Obamacare repeal bill would result in reductions in federal Medicaid funding to states ranging from 27 percent to 39 percent by 2036, according to a presentation made at the National Governors Association summer meeting here [Providence, Rhode Island].

The estimates — developed by the consulting firm Avalere Health — were presented to governors in a closed-door session on Saturday that also featured top Trump administration officials, including HHS Secretary Tom Price and CMS Administrator Seema Verma.

What happened?

Donald Trump has disregards the truth. Lying is his modus operandi. Trump doesn’t even try to get it right.

A few examples compiled by Senator Bernie Sanders where Trump said one thing but meant another:

"Every Republican wants to do a big number on Social Security, they want to do it on Medicare, they want to do it on Medicaid. And we can’t do that."-- Donald J. Trump

"I was the first & only potential GOP candidate to state there will be no cuts to Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. Huckabee copied me." -- Donald J. Trump

"Huckabee is a nice guy but will never be able to bring in the funds so as not to cut Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. I will." -- Donald J. Trump

"Save Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security without cuts. Have to do it." -- Donald J. Trump
