No one should have really believed for even a minute that President Donald Trump wasn't in this for his own gain. Most of us knew that from the minute he said he was running for office. It’s bewildering that his supporters don’t seem to understand Trump’s objective. It’s also clear that republicans--who accept his problem with telling the truth, too-- don’t understand either, they are waiting for some devious opportunity to go against Trump, or they too expect to gain from his presidency.
