AP -- Someone Threw a Bomb Through a Mosque Window in Minnesota

CNN reports: In just the first two months of the year, at least four mosques have gone up in flames as attacks against religious minorities have surged.

Those fires follow the worst year on record for incidents in which mosques were targets of bias, according to the Council of American-Islamic Relations.

The wave of hostility comes as President Donald Trump campaigned on -- then enacted -- a temporary ban on travelers from Muslim-majority countries entering the United States.

President Donald Trump has not responded to any of these attacks. Trump's silence is due to the attacks are against Muslims.

Early Saturday morning a fire bomb was hurled through the window of the Dar Al Farooq Islamic Center in Bloomington, Minnesota. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the incident has set shockwaves through the community. It's the latest in a spate of attacks against Muslim Americans across the country. Law enforcement has yet to identify the perpetrators.

In the face of this senseless hate, neighbors have joined together to support the mosque. Members of a local Catholic church delivered over 200 notes like the one below. On Sunday, a steady stream of people stopped by to leave flowers and express their sympathy. Erik Stoltenberg brought along his 4-year-old daughter, telling the Twin Cities Pioneer Press, "I explained to her that people attend things that are like our church but different and that some people sometimes don’t like other people for bad reasons and that it was important for us to come and show our support as a community." People have also donated over $50,000 to a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for repairs.

Meanwhile, not a single tweet or statement from Trump. He finds time to blast the media and members of Congress he dislikes. But why doesn't he condemn hate and anger?
